6 Months

Hank recently turned 6 months old and we made that oh so fun visit to the Dr. for shots. It is so much easier, when your baby will take a Binky. He now weighs 20 lbs. and he is 27 1/2 inches long. I'm afraid we will be getting rid of the infant car seat real soon. He is hitting a lot of milestones. Here is his prize winning smile, with his two new teeth.
He is rolling all over and he can finally spin the rattle at the top of this toy.

He is filling out his bath tub and needs to graduate to a seat.

One more thing we will be putting away soon is his swing, now that he can grab all of the fish.

He has figured out his walker and gets around quite well. Notice the cupboard he is opening. His little personality is starting to show more and more everyday. We love this little boy!!

Halloween 2010

For Halloween this year, we started out with a little pumpkin carving with some friends.

The Tanner's......

Most of the kids played around while the parents did all of the carving.

Dewey picked a Frankenstein face.

Hallie picked the words "Trick or Treat" even though I had a nice and easy smiley face picked out for her. :)

Hallie and Dewey decorated this Haunted House.

I got to go help at Hallie's school and be a part of their spook parade.

I was in charge of the musical chairs station. It was a lot of fun to see the kids dance moves as they walked around the chairs.

Sean turned 33 on the 30th. Instead of cake he wanted his favorite chocolate oat squares. He was so excited that I was taking his picture.

Dewey was Handy Manny.

Hallie was a Punk Rocker. She picked out her own outfit and wanted pink highlights in her hair.

Hank wore the same pumpkin costume that Hallie wore when she was a baby.

My mom had her annual Halloween party. Sean was a "Chick Magnet". We got the idea from a kid at Hallie's school. Pretty lame, but funny.

I dressed up as my mom. She is a custodian and she wears these purple smocks to work. I made her go put one on, to see how we compared. We got a lot of laughs.

4 Month Update

Hank recently had his 4 month checkup and shots. He has gained 4 pounds in 2 months. He weighs 16 lbs. 10 oz. and is 25 inches long. Yes, he is a very healthy little boy. It is hard to believe that Dewey was even bigger than Hank at this age. Hank has recently rolled from his belly to his back and he is becoming a lot more wiggly.
He sits in his bumbo a lot better now, but he is still not a very big fan of it.

We have started giving him rice cereal at night. This is the first time he had ever tried it. I think he really liked it, but he was just so tired.

We recently discovered that he likes to swing. His poor eyes are red in this picture because he has had a cold, which turned into an ear infection. I hope this is not a reoccurring thing. :)

Hank also likes sitting in his walker. He is growing up so fast and before I know it, he will be 1.

EISF 2010

This year we took the kids on Friday since Sean has that day off. We met up with my sisters and their kids. Shaylee and Hallie rode many rides together.

Shaylee also rode with Dewey. I think Hallie was too tall for this one.

Dewey is now 42 inches and could ride almost everything that Hallie could. He chose this red jeep because Sean use to have a red jeep. We were laughing because he wasn't even steering it.

Poor Dewey had to sit behind all by himself.

Once the swings started getting higher, we could tell that Dewey was on the verge of tears. He stayed very brave and didn't cry even though we know that he wanted to. When he got off, we asked him if he wanted to go again and he said no.

Our friend Ty rode with Dewey and Addison so they could go on the train. I think he had more fun then the kids. :)

This is Hallie's very favorite ride. She saved it for last.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend we headed to Sawmill for our last camping trip of the summer. Kinda sad. The weather was very nice and Hank and I actually got to hang out outside this trip. This time we all invaded my parents camper. I'm glad they gave us a place to stay.

It wouldn't be camping without a 4-wheeler ride. The kids were wearing grandma and grandpa's helmets. I guess that is something we need to invest in, along with a camper. Hopefully next summer we can make that happen. We are already looking forward to next summer.

Dewey's First Day of Preschool

Ever since Hank was born, I knew that Dewey needed a little something to keep him occupied. The poor kid gets very bored and ends up driving me crazy, so we decided to sign him up for preschool. He will have two years of preschool before he starts Kindergarten. He is going to Small World preschool in the afternoon class. This is the same preschool that Hallie went to.
Dewey was very excited to pick out his very own "pack pack". He picked out a very boy backpack that is blue with skulls because he thinks that blue is only for boys.

Here he is sitting in his classroom. I started to tear up just a little when he hung up his backpack all by himself and the teacher told him how big he was. It made me realize just how big he really is. He is always asking me if he has school the next day. He doesn't quite understand just yet how everything works. Don't get me wrong, I love Dewey very much, but I am really enjoying the 4 hours a week of preschool. :)
