FINALLY!!

Sean and I were discussing how it was starting to feel like Spring because we didn't have any snow. We were so happy when it FINALLY snowed! I decided to take advantage of our new snow and let the kids play outside. This is a picture of the snowman that Hallie built all by herself. We were playing in the backyard when some awesome High School kid kicked it in and ruined it. I guess that is one of the joys of living close to a High School!

The snow was really wet and perfect for snowmen and snowballs. I was amazed at how fast Hallie could make a snowball and chuck it at me.

Here is another one of Dewey's goofy faces. He makes the funniest faces when you ask him to smile.

I am so glad that I am able to stay home with the kids and do different activities like this during the daytime hours.

What we have been up to......

Hanging out with our cousins. Playing dress up and dancing around the living room.

Or if you are a boy, dressing up as a Carpenter(aka Bob the Builder).

Babysitting your little brother and cousin, so Mom can take a shower and get ready for the day.

Falling asleep while eating lunch.

The things we love about Dewey!

Lately I have been wanting to write some things down about Dewey that I don't want to forget. I wasn't very good about writing things down about Hallie, so I have vowed to myself to be better this time around. So, here goes........

* The second we get in the car Dewey wants his "gink" and everytime we arrive somewhere we find his shoes are once again thrown on the floor.

* The other day, we were driving our tiny Civic through some pretty big drifts and we heard Dewey from the back say "Oh No!"

* Dewey loves all of his "bopa's" and they are usually the first ones to give in and give him an

"ee ee" (horse back)ride.

* When you do something funny that Dewey likes he will say "den den" (again).

* Everything is down. Dad is sitting next to Dewey and he is "down". If you ask him where something or somebody is, the answer is "down".

* Hallie is known as "sissy" or "Hadie". He watches her get on the bus every morning from our front window. They are really starting to play well with one another!

* Dewey gets bloody noses pretty easily. When he was little he would be holding a toy and drop it on his face and get a bloody nose. I think he ran into my knee once and got one. He has also woke up many times with bloody sheets. I guess the air was to dry or something. Basically, any time he bumps his nose, we just wait for the blood to start pooring. The picture above was after a nap one day. We always laugh at this picture. It's hard not to! Sean and I joke that he was just in a fight.

* Whenever we sit down to eat, Dewey is the first one to fold his arms and say "amen". He is a great reminder to our family, that we need to say the blessing!

* Dewey likes to play with "do do"(playdoh).

* Thanks to his sister and Grandpa Packer, Dewey loves "ocket" milk.

* Sean's snowmobile and basically anything with a motor is known as a "broom broom"

It has been a lot of fun raising this little boy. He has been very different from Hallie. He is a lot naughtier at this age than his sister was! As the picture above shows, he is quite the character. He is a big tease and I do believe that one day, he will be known as the class clown!! We love him!

Pine Basin Lodge

This is where we spent our new year. It is called Pine Basin Lodge and it used to be an old ski lodge back in the day. We stayed here with my moms side of the family. It was a lot of fun to spend time with my aunt and my cousins. The older we all get, the less it seems that we spend time with each other.
This is everyone getting ready to make a train down the hill. I think my parents enjoyed themselves the most.

I think this is the longest train that we made. Only the brave went down in the front.

Here is my sisters before they went down the hill. I tried getting pictures of them going over a jump, but they didn't turn out.

I didn't get any pictures of my kids outside. Most of the time it was snowing and they were to cold. This is Dewey's new face he pulls when you ask him to smile. I love it!! Anyway, we had good company, fun games and a lot of good laughs. I definitely want to do this again next year!

Christmas 2008

Christmas was a lot of fun this year! We started out with the traditional Christmas Eve pajamas.
Here are the kids in their new pajamas. Hallie has become quite the poser.

The kids slept in until about 8am. Dewey was very excited when he saw his new kitty keyboard. He is getting really good at opening presents by himself!

Here is Hallie playing her new Leapster 2. All she asked Santa for was a Barbie, Candy and a Leapster. She was pretty easy to please this year. We spent the rest of the day with our families. I would have to say that the snow really made this years Christmas a good one!
