Christmas Program

Hallie recently had a Christmas program with her school. They had grades 1-5 participate. First grade went first and they sang a couple of songs. Here they are getting ready.

We left after the first grade sang to free up some seats for more parents. It really wasn't all that exciting, but at least I have pictures right? When we got home, Dewey wanted to put on all of Hallie's props.

I recently ordered my kids new coats and Hallie insisted that I take a picture.

Road Trip

Recently we went on a little trip to the November 9 Broncos vs. Steelers NFL game in Denver. Sean's parents friends had been planning this trip for a while and had chartered a bus. Out of 53 people on the bus, there were only about 7 Broncos fans. I just went with the team that Sean was rooting for and he really is a Cowboys fan. The bus ride there was about 12 hours. We messed around Monday morning and did a little shopping on 16th street. Sean's cousin Jake lives in Denver and we hung out with him most of the day. We all bought the same shirt because they were on clearance for six dollars. How cheap are we?

This was our BYU band bus that we rode in. Go Cougars!!

If you look back to the right you can see me. This was before we left to come home. Our bus ride home took longer than we had hoped. One of the tires had a nail in it and we had to sit and wait for it to be fixed.

Even though the Broncos didn't win, the trip turned out to be a lot of fun. I actually knew some of the people on the bus. Some of them went to the Orthodontist that I used to work for. They asked me why I looked so familiar. Thanks Will and Kathy for inviting us on such a fun trip.

Halloween and School Events

Halloween started on the 30th for our family this year. My mom had her annual Halloween party. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera and didn't get any pictures. It was also Sean's birthday. He's now the ripe old age of 32. Hallie really wanted to be Belle this year. I made my first ebay purchase and bought this dress for $16 dollars, shipping and all. I was very proud of myself! :) I made Dewey's "bearded gnome" costume. There wasn't much to it, but I think he looked really cute.

Hallie's school had a Halloween parade through the halls and the gym. It was fun to go watch and see all of the different costumes.

Hallie was also recognized this month for "Student of the Month" in an assembly. Her teacher described her as well behaved and kind. We never hear anything but good from Hallie's teachers. She really is a good girl!

Dewey's First Haircut

So now that Dewey is over two years old, we decided that it was time to trim up his hair. I know what you're thinking, "what is there to trim"? He actually did have a chunk of hair right on top that stood straight up and a lot of fuzz in the back. We put him up into the chair, put the cape on him and then he started to cry. He never tried to sit up or get out of the chair, he just made this sad face and cried.
Hallie was a little worried if we cut Dewey's hair, that it wouldn't grow back. I had to remind her that she has had many haircuts and her hair always grows long again.

Dewey now asks me to put his hair "up" when I comb it. There isn't much to comb, but he does look very handsome!

I wanted to throw one last thing into this post. If you look very close, you will notice that the stick does have a plus sign on it. Yes, I am PREGNANT. My due date is May 15 and we are not going to find out the sex of this baby. Everybody thinks we are crazy and that we will not be able to do it. That just makes me want to do it even more! We are very excited and in the end, it is going to be a lot of fun.

First Grade

Hallie was really excited to start school this year. She asked me everyday if she could go to school yet. This is a picture of Hallie all ready for her first day of 1st grade.

This is her new teacher Mrs. Hunt. She's a great teacher and we are excited that Hallie gets to be in her classroom!

As for Dewey, he has been just fine with his big sissy at school all day. He's been busy smoothing over the ladies!

Snaggle Tooth

A couple of weeks ago, Hallie lost her first front tooth. She actually didn't loose it, it was pulled out by her Uncle Doug. He tricked her into thinking he was going to just look at her tooth, but then he grabbed a hold of it and yanked it out. He also did the same thing to his daughter as well. I don't think they will ever let him "look" at their teeth again!
I am very excited to see who's front teeth she is going to have!

End Of Summer

The first weekend in August, my mom, my sisters and their daughters went school shopping in Utah. Hallie and I were suppost to go, but our plans changed and we ended up not going. Instead, I got to watch my sisters two youngest kids while she had fun. I guess that's what happens when you don't go shopping. They mostly played outside in the pool and on the slip-n-slide. Hallie looks so graceful in this picture.

Hallie told me she was trying to pose like Taylor Swift in this picture. She is such a nerd!

Not only did I watch her kids, but I also watched her dog. I actually told her to bring the dog because my kids love her. Isn't she sooo cute? I have to admit, she was a little harder to watch than the kids. Our yard is not completley fenced in and I was so worried that she was going to get ran over.

We actually had a fun day and it was nice for my kids to have someone else to play with. Maybe next time I will actually get to go shopping.

Tee Ball

This was Hallie's second year playing tee ball. She was on Despain Construcion/Premier's team. I guess they had so many sponsors, that they doubled them up. She was glad that her team was red, because "it was the best girl color". This is a picture of Sean reminding Hallie that she needed to run to second base.

Look how much taller she is than most of her team. Hallie was the number 8 two years in a row. She thought that was pretty cool.

This is a picture of Hallie and her friend Addison. Last year, they hugged when they saw each other on base. Maybe next year they will actually get to be on the same team.

Here's the whole team. The little girl on the right was the youngest on the team. She is 4 years old. She looks so tiny compared to the rest of them.

Hallie was so excited when they handed out trophies. They didn't get one last year for whatever reason. She kept saying "my very first trophy". Yesterday, when Dewey was crying, Hallie went and got her trophy and let him hold it. Next year Hallie will play coach pitch. I really hope she continues to play, so we can watch her when it gets a little more competitive!

The 4th of July

This year on the 4th, we went camping to Spencer. My mom got all of us patriotic shirts to wear that day. This is all of my family, minus my two brothers and their families.
My Dad offered to take Dewey, so Sean and I could fit a little more comfortable on our 4-wheeler. Don't they look so cool in their goggles?

Notice the clouds in the background? Basically every time we were on top of a mountain it would start thundering and lightning. That's exactly where you don't want to be in that kind of weather. At one point, we had to stop and our whole group had to huddle under some trees to take shelter from the rain. We went on a 53 mile ride that day. It was really long, but we got to see a lot of cool scenery!

This is pretty much all that Hallie and Shaylee wanted to do. It was the first time they both had ridden this motorcycle and they had a lot of fun. They just took off like pros.

We always have a lot of fun camping with our families. It makes for a lot of fun memories. We can't wait to go again.
