First Day of 2nd Grade

I can't believe that Hallie is in second grade already!

Hallie was so excited that her good friend Tylar was in her class. She was really hoping that they could sit by each other and when we got there, their desks were right next to each other.

Hallie thought we should take a picture of Hank also. He looks so excited.

I couldn't take a picture of everyone but Dewey. He was so excited to wear this new motorcycle shirt that we had bought him. He's all boy!!

Quick Trip

Sean's good friend from High School was getting married, so we took our family and made a little trip to Boise for the weekend. As we were leaving the wedding, it started to get a little stormy. We went back to our Hotel and decided to go swimming. As we were in the pool (about 9:30 pm), the power went off. We decided to just stay and swim for a while. After about an hour, we went up to our room by flashlight. We put everyone to bed and still no power. The power finally came on about 6 am the next morning. When we looked out our window this is what we found. It was actually quite funny. Sean had to move a lot of tumble weeds to get in to our pickup. I'm just glad that I didn't have to clean it up! :)

It was a fun little trip. It's always nice to get out of the house!

The Big Butte

Sometime back in July, our little family drove our pickup to the Big Butte. The road is a lot rougher than Sean or I remembered. It definitely would have been a lot better with our 4 wheeler. When we got up to the top, it was really windy. Sean and the kids walked around and took some pictures.

There were two couples at the top that we were talking to. I'm glad that they were there because as we were leaving, they noticed that we had a flat tire. We probably would have driven the whole way down without knowing because it was so bumpy.

Flat tire and all, I'm glad we took this little drive with our family. Good memories!

This is a picture of Hallie's team and coaches after her final game of coach pitch. They received medals this year instead of trophies. Softball was always my favorite sport and I hope Hallie wants to keep on playing.

July 4th Weekend

This 4th of July we started out with our Ward's breakfast. We had a yummy breakfast, the kids played games and there was also horse rides. Hallie loved riding the horse! Dewey was all excited to ride and the moment we sat him on the horse he cried. Maybe next year.

After the breakfast, we headed out to go camping in Spencer. Here is a picture of Dewey hanging out on our 4-wheeler, waiting for someone to give him a ride.

This is my sister Dawnette holding Hank. They both ended up falling asleep. Hank and I spent a lot of time in my parents camper. The mosquitoes were horrible and I didn't dare take him outside.

Hallie was bugging Sean to ride the 4-wheeler. He put it in low and she rode in circles around our camp. She did really well.

Always a poser!

Dewey loves being outside. We were constantly putting repellent on him and he still got bit. I think he had about 20 mosquito bites on his head. Poor kid.

My Kids

Hank is getting so big. He is almost eight weeks old. His skinny little legs and arms are starting to fill out and get some meat on them.

He is starting to smile a lot. This is the closest I have come to snapping a picture of his smile. Sean sat him in the bumbo seat just to see what he would do. He still has a while until he can sit in it by himself.

Hallie loves Hank and always wants to hold him. She does pretty well with him and he seems to like her too.

Dewey also loves his little brother, although he has a weird way of showing it. There is no safe place in our house for Hank. I am constantly watching and making sure that Dewey is soft. Dewey has bit, pushed, shaken, sat on, licked and pretty much anything you can think of to his brother. I am really hoping that this will end soon!

Hallie has been busy playing coach pitch this summer. She is the one in the light shorts. She was also in a tennis camp, but I never could remember my camera.

I could take pictures of this little boy all day. We love him soo much!

This is what Hank often looks like when you put him down. He loves to be held and have people around him. Maybe he is just scared of what Dewey might do next. :)

7 Years Old

Hallie's birthday was on a pretty busy day this year. She ended up having two softball games that night. We had told her that day that she wasn't getting a present. Yes, we are mean. She really wasn't that sad, she just wanted to go to Subway to eat. When we got home from her games, we had her open the code on our garage and she found this bike inside the door. She was pretty excited.

We ended up going to Winger's for her birthday dinner.

A couple days after her birthday, she invited her cousins Shaylee and Gracie to go swimming and go get an icee.

Sean was nice enough to take them to the pool along with Dewey and my niece Paige.

This picture makes me laugh. They are all the same age and Hallie is a head taller. Hallie also went to Shrek in 3D with her grandma Kathy and got to eat at Jimmy Johns.

Hank's Blessing

Why is it that the morning of your baby's blessing is so stressful? Maybe because we want everything to be just perfect. Not only was it my first Sunday back to church with three kids, but Sean is now in the bishopric and is of no help to me on Sunday mornings. Luckily, my parents happened to stop by right before church and helped me out. We didn't get the best of pictures that day. We were in to big of a hurry to get out of our church clothes I guess.

Sean gave Hank such a great blessing. Since Sean is in the bishopric and it was his month to conduct, he got to conduct sacrament, bless Hank, and start off fast and testimony meeting. He's so lucky. :) Our ward has recently removed the clock on the side wall of the chapel and put it in the very back. I had no idea what time it was and I was the very last person to bear their testimony.

The middle button on Hank's blessing outfit fell off during sacrament. Luckily, I found it inside of his blanket. After sacrament meeting, we went out to Kathy's house and had a barbecue. We had a lot of family and good friends come and it was a fun day.
