Easter 2012

This is our sad attempt at egg dyeing this year.  I decided to use muffin tins, forgetting that the colors would spill over and mix together.  Oh well, the kids had fun and that's all that matters.
Every year, the kids have to search for their Easter baskets.  The first egg is always in the living room and has different clues to eventually find their baskets.

After reading all of the clues, they eventually found their baskets in the laundry/storage room.  The Easter bunny is running out of places in our tiny little house to hide baskets.  :)

 Ready for church.
Sean ended up going to Moab with his buddies and called me to let me know that the Easter bunny may have left me something in one of our bathroom drawers.  :)
We ended the day with dinner and an egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Packer's house.  This was Hank's first year for egg hunts, since he wasn't walking last year.  He loved it and was really good at finding the eggs.

 Hallie, Gracie and Shaylee.
Dewey checking out his eggs.  A lot of the eggs had quarters in them and he was pretty excited.

5 Years Old

Dewey recently turned 5 on March 28th.  He got to spend pretty much the whole day, with one of his favorite cousins Sayer.  Sayer's parents were out of town and he spent the day with us.  They had a fun time riding their bikes and digging in the dirt.
 Dewey's "race car cake".

Dewey got his very own racket for the summer tennis program.  He also got some Lego's and a lot of money to buy what he wanted.  Grandma McBride took Aidan, Sayer and Dewey out to eat at Red Robin.  He had a lot of fun with his cousins!

Since his Birthday is so close to Easter, these are the treats that we decided to make for his preschool.  Dewey recently had his Kindergarten shots and he is sooo ready for Kindergarten.  So is Mom.  :)

Valentine's Day 2012

 Dewey and Hallie's Valentine's.
Hank was happy as could be with his skittles.
Hallie got new pajama's and earrings and Dewey got some new basketball shorts.
The kids gave me this huge card.
This picture isn't from Valentine's Day, but I just wanted to show how Hank looks lately.  This is what happens when I take my kids to the library.  :)  Hank tripped and fell into a book shelf and cut the side of his eye and it eventually turned into a black eye.  Poor kid never has a clear face.
I love moments like these!!

Christmas 2011

This year for Christmas Eve, we didn't have a lot going on.  We ended up eating at McDonald's. :)  We came home and the kids got to open one present.... their pajama's.

Dewey asked if I would take a picture of his pajama's on the floor.  :)

This was the best picture I could get of all 3 of the kids.  Hank didn't feel like sitting up.

Hallie woke up at 12:30 and we had to tell her to go back to bed.  Then Dewey woke up about 5:30.  I think we finally ended up opening presents around 7:00.

It didn't take Hank very long to find the candy canes.  I think he may have eaten some of the plastic as well.
This Christmas was very busy!!  Grandma and Grandpa Diaz came over in the morning and ate breakfast with us, we went to church at 11:00, visited Great Grandma Diaz, ate again about 3 o'clock and played "Just Dance" with the Packer's and finally made our last stop at the McBride's.  It was a busy, but fun day.

Holiday Parties

This picture was actually taken on a Sunday, 2 weeks before Christmas.  The kids had their new Sunday clothes on and I wanted a picture.  Poor Dewey had just burnt his fingers on my curling iron and Hank has his usual grumpy face.  Although we had our Sunday morning chaos, I was determined to get a picture.  :)
We had our Packer family party first.  All of the kids drew names and bought their cousins a present.
 Cassie and Bentlee

We tried to get the younger girls to sing for their presents, but that didn't work out so well.

The McBride family party was next.  We put together a last minute Nativity with the younger kids.  Kenneth was Joseph, Hallie was Mary and Kylee was an Angel.  Don't you love Mary's fur coat?  :)
Dewey, Aedan and Sayer were the three wise men.
 Tasha was the Narrator.
After the Nativity and singing, Santa made an appearance.  Hank was a little scared, so Grandpa helped out.  It was a lot of fun getting together with both families and visiting with them.
