Jackson Hole in the Fall

 Last Saturday we took a little family trip to Jackson Hole.  We wanted to show the kids all of the fall colors.

 We walked around and went into some of the shops.  All of the animals in this store were for sale.  This bear just happened to be $28,000.  Yikes!!

 We stopped to get a family picture with the Teton's behind us.

 This was outside a photography museum that was a little more than we wanted to spend.  So, we hung out outside the museum and looked at their statue's.

Dewey didn't want to get on this moose, but Sean made him.  He was trying not to cry and laughing at the same time.  We told him he could get down as soon as we took a picture. :)  We had a fun day as a family and the drive was so pretty.

Preschool Field Trip To The Corn Maze

 This is where Hank stood while the rest of his class took a group picture. :)  He wanted nothing to do with it.

 Inside the corn maze we looked for animal tracks.

 The kids got to go on a barrel train ride to pick out their own pumpkin.  Hank was so excited about getting a pumpkin.

 The kids also got to jump on some blow up toys.

 I love this picture of Hank jumping in the air.  It was a lot of fun and I was glad I was able to go.

First Day of School 2013

Dewey is a big 1st grader this year.  Mrs. Hunt was also Hallie's 1st grade teacher.  She is awesome!!

Hallie rules the school now that she is a 5th grader.  Her teacher is Mrs. Buck and she absolutely loves her.  It is sad to think that this is her last year at Stoddard.

This is what Hank wanted to do while his big brother and sister were at school.  He hung out on my bed and watched Open Season.

Hank started preschool a week after Hallie and Dewey. His first day was an open house and he wouldn't talk to his teachers or even make eye contact.  I got him to stand next to his cubby for a picture.  His first actual full day of preschool was pretty sad.  I handed him to one of his teacher's and left.  He started crying and yelling for "momma".  It was really hard to leave him that day and I wondered if I was pushing preschool a little to fast.  His teacher's eventually text me and said he was doing really good and having a lot of fun.  I was glad to hear that!!  Hank is his own unique little person and we are hoping maybe one day soon he will start liking people. :)

Spencer 2013

Sadly, this was our last camping trip for the year.  We went to Spencer with my parents and Doug and Marilee's family.  Our little family were the first to arrive on Thursday and everyone else came on Friday.

Hank is just the right size for this bike, but still doesn't ride without training wheels.  Next year for sure!

Since it was a holiday and the start of hunting season, there were not a lot of camp sites to choose from.  We ended up parking our trailer and riding the 4wheeler and motorcycle's to find a spot.

There were no tree's by the road to hang a sign, so Sean fashioned up this little tee pee to let my family know where we were.

Gus is a very good little bike rider, but this was his first time riding a motorcycle.  He did really well for such a little guy.  He only crashed into the sage brush once and gave Doug a good work out. :)

It was very hot for labor day weekend and very dry.  We only went on one 4 wheeler ride because we couldn't handle the dust.  We went down to the creek a couple times so everyone could cool off and get away from the dust.  The kids had fun hunting for frogs.

Gracie and Hallie decided they wanted to make a fort for themselves.  Grandpa Packer decided to help them out.  He even got the chain saw out to help them cut wood.

More time down by the water.  The little boys decided to take off their pants.  Rhett got a little stuck in the mud.

 

The boys had a lot of fun playing with their trucks.  This is exactly what boys should look like. :)

Everyone was so excited to have their picture taken at the end of the trip.  We were all looking good!  :)

Until next year.  It is going to be a long winter!

Bear Lake 2013

 We recently went to Bear Lake with the Will McBride and Janet Henscheid family's.  We wasted no time going to the beach.

 Katie was trying to tan her "white" stomach.

 This is what Kathy had been waiting all year for.  Sitting on the beach and soaking up some sun.

 Cute little Aiysha loved the water, but didn't want to get the sand on her.

 Once Kathy realized I was taking her picture, she wasn't to happy with me.  :)

 Sean offered to bury Dewey in the sand and he agreed.  Once Dewey figured out that he couldn't move his arms, he didn't like it anymore.

 Sayer decided he wanted to try skiing.  He forgot to let go of the rope and drug his face in the water for a little bit.  He decided he was done at that point.  Maybe next year.

 Grandpa McBride put together a watermelon eating contest with the younger kids.  Check out Jake's face.  He really wanted Sayer to win.  :)

 I love how Dewey is bent over trying to keep his shirt clean and Hallie's cheek's look enormous.  Not long after this picture Dewey had to run to the garbage because his mouth was so full of watermelon and he was gagging.  :)

Hank didn't come close to finishing first, but he sure looked cute trying.
