Easter

This year we ended up dying eggs with Doug and Marilee's family. The kids had a lot of fun with their cousins. I don't know if they had more fun dying eggs or helping themselves to Aunt Marilee's Easter candy.

This is the best picture I could get of the kids.

Hallie and Dewey went on a little hunt for their baskets and found them hidden in the bathtub. Having general conference on Easter worked out great. The kids ate some of their candy and played with their new toys. We were actually able to sit through one whole session of conference.

The kids loved their new zhu zhu pets. This one is Scoodles.

And this one is Jilly.

Later that day, we went out to my parents for dinner and the annual Easter egg hunt. We were pretty lucky that the weather cooperated.

Hallie ended up finding the egg with the 5 dollar bill inside. She really loves subway and the first thing that she said was "I want to buy a five dollar foot long". She's such a nerd.

3 Years Old

On March 28, Dewey turned the big 3 years old. We had a birthday party at my parents house to celebrate. I showed Dewey a picture of an ice cream cone cupcake and he decided that is what he wanted.

As you can see, he had plenty of help opening his gifts. It was a lot of fun watching Dewey open his presents. He was very animated and said the funniest things.

Sean decided to give it a try and trim Dewey's hair the night before his birthday. Dewey couldn't quit laughing. I guess it really tickled. He did pretty good for the most part, but there are certain areas that look a little choppy. It's hard to take him to a salon when his hair is still so thin.

Here he is after his trim.

This is a picture that Sean took of Dewey before they went to do some Electrical work on Sean's parents house. Dewey filled this little barn with all of his own tools. He loves spending time with his Dad and always wants to be with him. Dewey always says to Sean "we boys, huh Dad?". Sometimes I will be helping Dewey and he will say "your not a boy" and wants his Dad to come help him. It is especially great when he needs help wiping and doesn't want me to do it. :) He is a big teaser and a lot of fun to be around. We love being his parents!!

Big Boy Bed

Finally, now that Dewey is almost three, we decided to buy him a big boy bed. I can't believe how long he slept in a crib!! You can tell by the picture below that he doesn't miss the crib one bit. He has done really well with his new bed and has only rolled out once. Now I just need to find a quilt that I like for his bed.

I thought I would throw this picture in. This is me at 28 weeks. With Hallie and Dewey, I only took pictures of myself the morning of delivery. I thought I would try to be better this time and take more pictures.

Pine Basin 2010

Recently, my family and my Aunt Anita's family took what is turning out to be our annual Pine Basin trip. There is a big sledding hill right behind the lodge. I didn't get to do any sledding this year, but it was still a lot of fun watching everyone else. Here is one of the many trains that were made with the adults.

My cousin was nice enough to take me up and down the hill on his snowmobile so I didn't have to get any exercise whatsoever :)

My sister Deena all bundled up.

My parents and sisters.

My niece Brandee was very brave. She would have the snowmobiles take her clear up the hill and she would come hauling down the hill so fast, without even crashing.

My sisters on the dance pad.

Hallie and her favorite cousins Shaylee and Gracie. They are all the same age and have a lot of fun together.

The little kids decided they wanted to be like the adults and make their own train. They needed a little help getting started.

This is where Dewey was most of the time. He sat on the picnic tables and watched everybody sled out the big windows. He didn't want to go outside, and since he didn't feel that good, we didn't make him. We had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to next year.

Valentine's Day

This is a sucker that Dewey got in his Valentine box.

Waiting to open their Valentine boxes. They also got bags from their grandparents full of candy and toys. They are very spoiled on holidays!!

This is a picture of Hallie's class Valentine's that we made. M&H office supply had the sayings all printed up and we just added the paper, candy, ribbon and stickers. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

Baby Update

Today was my appointment for the big Ultrasound at the hospital. The technician took all of the different measurements of the body parts. I let her know right away that we don't want to know the sex of the baby. I had to turn my head a lot while she was doing the measuring of certain body parts. The baby measured 10 days earlier than my original due date, which would put me at May 5. I will have to talk to my doctor and see if this makes a difference. I doubt it!

If you cannot tell, this is a side profile picture of the baby's head. I think it's pretty cute!! We are having a hard time thinking of any boy names. So... if anyone has any suggestions, fill free to leave us a comment.

Quick Trip

This past weekend, we took a quick trip to Island Park. We left Friday after work and returned home late Saturday night. Dewey had been wanting to ride his Dads "broom broom".

I think he may be getting a little to big for this sled, but he loves to be pulled around in it.

Watch out!

Hallie had a lot of fun riding this Mini Z. She loved it!!

Grandma McBride was helping Sayer through the deep snow. I came outside long enough to take pictures and pull Dewey around on the sled. I don't think I will be doing any riding this year. :( We wish that we could have stayed longer, but we know that there are many more trips to come.
