Tautphus Park Zoo

Back in August, we decided we would take the kids to the Tautphus Park Zoo.  We got there just in time to see the trainer's feeding the animals.  The kids watched a baby Camel drink from a bottle and they thought that was pretty cool.  The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun.

Swimming Lessons

This summer was Dewey's first year for swimming lessons at the Blackfoot Swimming Pool. His cousins Rhett and Sayer were in his class with him. As you can tell from the picture above, he is still a little scared of the water. While his cousins were doing "bobs", he was sitting on the side, trying not to get his face wet. :) Even though he didn't participate in most of the activities, he still loved to go.

Hallie and her cousin Gracie were in level 3 this year. Here they are practicing their pencil dives. Hallie is a great swimmer and loves to be in the water. Hopefully Dewey will eventually feel that way.

Bear Lake 2011

We recently took our annual trip to Bear Lake. Because of the high water level, there wasn't much beach this year. Luckily, we had this tiny bit of beach right next to our campground. As you can see, the babies loved to sit and play in the sand. It kept them happy for quite some time.

Hank decided he wanted to be a big boy and sit at the little picnic table.

Love this picture!!

Kylee had fun eating lunch at our "restaurant". The kids would come up to our camper's screen door, slide the little door open and tell us what they wanted to order and what number they were. I think we played that everyday. They loved it!

Sayer and Dewey before they got pulled around the lake. A big wave ended up going over the top of them and Dewey fell off. He was pretty scared and it was scary to watch him struggle from the boat. Lets just say, it might take a while for him to get back in a tube again.

Hank on Grandma and Grandpa's boat. He's not loving the life jacket!! I don't think we really even could have done up the top snap because of those chubby cheeks.

He finally gave in and just fell asleep.

Not only did Hank love playing in the sand, but also the dirt.

This is the whole Will McBride and Janet Henscheid families.

Relaxing in the campground. Dewey asked me if the tent in the background was a temple. :)

Kandice ended up getting some really good pictures of Sean on the wake board. He gets a little better each time we go out. Gotta love the smile on his face!

I have to thank Kandice for getting such a cute picture of my kiddos. I love it!!

All of the younger McBride cousins on the water weenie. A very cute group of kids and they love being with each other.

What the last picture didn't show was their older cousin Triston was pulling them around. He ended up pulling them for quite some time. The older cousins are so good to the younger ones. This was a really fun trip!!

4th of July

We started our day out with the annual 4th of July breakfast. The kids got to decorate their bikes and then ride them in a bike parade.

The Bishop brought his horses for the kids to ride.

We actually got Dewey to ride a horse this year, although he was still pretty nervous.

After breakfast, we loaded up and met the McBride's in Ririe. We took turns on the boat and the kids did a lot of tubing.

Uncle Brett was nice enough to let the little boys drive the boat.

Sean took his turn for a little more of a wild ride. :)

After boating, we came home and let the kids light off their fireworks. This is not the greatest picture, but it shows Hank's excitement as a firework was going off. We ended up having a really fun day. It's always fun to go out on the boats and enjoy time with the family.

Hallie's Baptism

On Saturday, July 2, Hallie was baptised. We asked our neighbor Lona Sorensen to play the piano. Hallie really likes Lona and she was thrilled to play at her baptism. Grandma Packer gave the talk on Baptism. After the baptism, our Bishop told us that Hallie got ready in world record time. :) Following the baptism, Grandma McBride gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.

We had a barbecue afterwards with family and friends. Hallie got some new scriptures with her name engraved on them.

She also got a new scripture case, books to fill out about her baptism and some really cute necklaces. We really do have a lot of great family members and friends that care about our family. It was a great day!!

8 Years Old

On June 10th, Hallie turned the big 8. A couple of days before her Birthday, we made an appointment to get her hair cut. She wanted an A-line with two feathers. It turned out really cute and she loves it!!
Our Ward's father-son camp out just happened to fall right on Hallie's Birthday. So Grandma McBride and I took Hallie out for the night for her Birthday. Our first stop was the mall, so Hallie could finally get her ears pierced. After the mall, Hallie chose to eat at Red Robin. She got a little embarrassed when Grandma had them to sing to her, but forgot all about it when they gave her a free sundae. :)

The day after her Birthday, we had a little family party. Hallie is a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift and we surprised her with tickets to her concert in September. We didn't quite get the reaction we were expecting. She was too embarrassed with everyone watching her. She also got a lot of "cute jewelry" like she wanted and some money. She is saving her money for a pink gun at Cal Stores.

(in case you are wondering, I made these tickets up.)

I think you could say she had a great Birthday. Hallie really is such a good girl. She is now anxiously awaiting her Baptism in July.
