Camping at Lagoon

This summer we went with the Orr's and the Wheeler's to Lagoon.  We decided to do the bounce back tickets and stayed in the Lagoon campground.

I stayed back with Hank while Sean and some of the older kids went on this airplane ride.  Too much spinning for me!  :)

Most of my pictures are of Hank.  The older kids went off by themselves most of the time.
Sean, Eric, Hank, Dewey, and me were the only ones that wanted to go on the train ride.

Dewey was struggling to do up the seat belt on this ride.  He may have been a little too big for some of the kid rides, but Hank was happy to have someone to ride with.

Whitney and Hallie both brought their looms and made stuff while we were at the campground.
We had a lot of fun and we hope to do it again!

July 4th weekend

We spent our 4th in Diamond Creek with the Packer's and the Hunter's.
Hallie and Shaylee were very brave and slept out in this tent by themselves.
Waiting for everyone to get ready for one of our many 4-wheeler rides.
The kids rode their motorcycles on every single trail and they did awesome!

Some of the kids hiked up to this little cave.
Knowing how steep it is to get up to the cave, Hallie chose to watch from below on this rock.
It was very dusty and it made for some pretty dirty faces.  I think my Mom won the dirtiest face award.  :)

Hank and Dillon had fun together.

There is a lot of mining in the mountains around Diamond Creek.  The kids thought it was pretty cool to watch all of the big trucks and equipment.

Proof that Sean really can grow a mustache.  :)
The kids liked going down to this creek to get wet after a hot ride.  There were a lot of mosquito's and horse flies, so we couldn't stay long.

Summer Tennis

Hallie and Dewey had a lot of fun doing summer tennis in June.

EBR 1 and Cedar Creek

Every time we go camping, we pass the first nuclear reactor called EBR 1 and talk about how we need to take the kids there.  Last Friday we finally made it there.  Ryan, Avery, and Jette came with us.
Here are the kids standing by the reactor.

Everyone had fun playing with the manipulator's.  Even though it was way over their head's(and mine) we had fun.

After we left EBR 1, we drove to Mackey to go on a hike up Cedar Creek.

About half way up, there is an old dam.

This is what you get when you ask Ryan to take a picture of your family.

The trail is pretty nice and has a few bridges and a stair case along the way.
This is the view at the top.  The water just shoots right out of the side of the mountain.  It was really cool to see.
After our hike we built a fire and roasted hot dogs for dinner.
While we were eating, we had some company up above us.
Ryan brought some guns for the kids to shoot.  This was Hank's first time shooting a gun.  On the way out, we saw a ton of jack rabbit's along the road and the boys had to stop and get in some target practice.  The kids loved it and we had a great day.
