Memorial Weekend 2014

We spent Memorial weekend in Sawmill Canyon.  Once again, the weather was great for Memorial weekend and we had a lot of fun.

Sean was excited to use his new saw.  He had a tree down in no time.

It didn't take long to get the motor bikes out either.

We decided to take a little family ride while we were waiting and ran in to a lot of snow.

After all the family arrived and we had more four wheelers, we went back up to the same trail and made it a little further.

My Dad lead the way.  Plowing through the snow is a lot of fun!

Shaylee brought her hammock and the kids had a lot of fun playing on it and dumping each other off.

Gus and Hank had fun playing horse shoe.

Hank played so hard during the day and would crash on the couch.  He fell asleep with his sword and graham cracker.

We stopped along a trail to watch Sean and Doug climb a few hills.

This was the biggest snow drift that we had to get through and we made it.

I took a picture of Dawnette while she was getting ready to take a picture of the whole group.  She was pretty happy about it.

When we got back from our ride, we lined up all of our 4 wheelers and motorcycles.  This is what we do when we are camping.

Here is a picture of the ride home.  Dewey was so tired, that he snuggled right up next to Hallie.  I guess that is how you know that your trip was successful.  :)

Random Events

Stoddard had their annual talent show.

 Dewey's class wore body socks and danced to random songs.  Dewey was in the back on the right.  He told me that you couldn't see very well.  That explains why half of the time he wasn't lined up with his class.  :)

Hallie and her friends made up their own dance.  They danced to 22 by Taylor Swift.

Dewey got 100 AR points and was able to "rock the halls".  He was so excited that he reached his goal for the year.

Our neighborhood had a peacock visit us.  It was never in our yard, but it bounced back and forth between the neighbor's.

Hallie was also able to "rock the halls".

Down town dance studio had their year end recital.  Hallie got to do 2 dances this year.  Here she is in the front of the circle in the turqouise jacket.  Her class did very well.

This was Hallie's 6th year of dance.  She is a great dancer and she is a lot of fun to watch!

Hank's 4th Birthday

Hank turned 4 on his Birthday this year.  He started his party off a little grumpy, as you can see in the picture above.

It took a while, but he eventually got happy and even let Dewey help with his presents.

Hank got his very own lantern to use for camping, a bug jar, and many other things.

Hank said he wanted some cookies for his birthday, so I made some cookie pies.

Even though this kid has many grumpy moments, he also can be very sweet when he wants to be.  We love you Hank!!

Moab 2014

This year, the boys decided to invite the girls to Moab.  It was such a fun weekend with our friends!

Here is the suburban.  It is pretty sweet and we drove it everywhere.

We went to Moab the weekend of the car show.  There were classic cars everywhere and they would all cruise through town.  Here are the boys cruising.  We made sure to cheer them on as they drove by.

We all pitched in and had this shirt made for Ryan for his graduation present.  He gladly wore it for 2 days in a row.  Noel loved it! ;)

Saturday was pretty rainy and overcast, so we hiked in to Corona Arch.  Ryan was a little hot.

As we were sitting here, a mountain goat ran down the mountain past us.  It was too fast and I wasn't able to get a picture of it.

There were a couple of college kids from BYU-I getting ready to jump from the arch.  They ended up taking so long, that we didn't get to watch them jump.  You couldn't pay me to jump off this arch!!

We had SO much fun with our friends!!  We are grateful for grandparents that are willing to watch our children so we can go do things like this!!
