Fun at Ross Park

We spent an afternoon with the Bruderer's at Ross Park.  It was the perfect day because it wasn't very busy.

Downata Hot Springs

The Packer family reunion was held at Downata Hot Springs this year.  We had a potluck dinner, visited with family and spent the rest of the time swimming.  I think the weather that day was around 90-95 degrees.  We were so excited to get into the pool and cool off.  When we got into the pool, we realized the water was 91 degrees.  Not what we were expecting!  Despite the very warm water, we still managed to have some fun.

Hank's First Haircut

A few weeks ago, I made an appointment to have Hank's hair trimmed with my hairdresser.  His appointment was in the afternoon when he usually takes a nap.  I thought he would be ok and we could get his hair trimmed.  Nope!  As soon as I sat him in the chair, he cried and wanted down.  We even bribed him with a sucker and that didn't even work.  We eventually ended up leaving, with no haircut.  Sean always trims Dewey's hair, so he decided to give it a try.  We sat him on a stool and let him watch Caillou.  I don't think he even realized Sean was trimming his hair because he was so into his show.

 I miss this long, fine baby hair.  There's something about cutting your child's hair that makes them seem all grown up.  :(

Big Time Rush Concert

Hallie and I took a little girl's trip to Utah with some friends.  We started off eating at The Cheesecake Factory.

The whole purpose of the trip was to go to the Big Time Rush Concert at the Usana Amphitheatre.  Hallie had her heart set on a t-shirt and ended up buying this necklace instead.

Big Time Rush also has their own TV show on Nickelodeon that Hallie likes to watch.  She thinks Logan is SO cute!  :)

There were a lot of screaming little girls!!  It was a lot of fun watching all of them and how crazy they are for these boys.  It is always fun to get out of town with girls.  :)

Indian Springs

We recently took a little trip to Indian Springs with the Orr's and Wheeler's.  We all took our campers and stayed in the little RV park next to the swimming pool.

 There is a little creek that runs through the property that is full of tropical fish.  The kids went down several times a day to check out the fish.

 After the swimming pool, we went boating to American Falls and played on the beach.

 I tried SO hard to get up on one ski and I was really close.  Maybe next time.

 Sean gets a little better each time with the wake board.  He was comfortable enough to try jumping the wake.

 Eric even talked Dewey into riding on the tube.  He had a little spill last year and has been scared ever since.

It was a short trip, but we had a lot of fun with these two families.

Slip-n-Slide

This is one of the many ways the kids have spent their summer.  Dewey invited his friends Ella and Sayer over to play in the water.
