Spring Break

The kids decided to have a sleep over every night during spring break.  Dewey got a new helmet for his Birthday and when I went to check on them, this is what I found.

Picnic on the tramp.

Girls Ski Trip

Starting out on the trail at Harriman Park.

Shaylee and Hallie had a fun time and kept right up with the older girls.

Photo bomb!
We had to laugh at Cassie for a little while before anyone helped her up.  Maybe she shouldn't have bombed my photo.  :)

Eating our lunch in the warming hut.
Fun trip with the girls!!

Cross Country Skiing with the little boys

The last Saturday in February, we decided to go cross country skiing with Will, Kathy, Sayer, and Aeden.  I was a little nervous because we had never been with our kids before and we were a little scared of the outcome.  We actually had a lot of fun and the kids did really well.
Sean and I took turns pulling Hank.
We stopped at a cabin to eat our lunches.
There were a few hills that the little boys struggled with.

Kathy gave us something to laugh about.  :)

Hank fell asleep for a while.

We stopped at a little warming hut to warm up and have a snack.
We ended up going 7 miles that day.  The little boys did awesome and I can't believe they went that far.

Piano Recital

Hallie has many piano recitals throughout the year.  For this one, she had to accompany someone.  Her and Gracie played My Country Tis of Thee.  They ended up doing really well and it was a lot of fun to watch.
You would never guess that they are the same age.  :)

Grand Champion of the Pinewood Derby

Dewey is a member of a non-denominational scout troop.  He is a Tiger Cub in troop #276.  He was excited to join scouts and I think the Pinewood Derby has been his favorite part so far.
Sean and Dewey worked on his derby "truck" for a couple of weeks.  Dewey picked out the color and helped sand and paint his truck.  Sean took the truck out to his work and had the pipe fitters add stacks to the back.
Here is Dewey placing his car on the track.
These boys were so fun to watch!  They were SO excited!
Here is Dewey's truck in action on the yellow track.  Sean had him race it backwards and they figured out that it went faster that way.
After all the cars had raced, they could choose to race on the circles of death.  Most of the cars would fall, but a few of them made it around.  Dewey's made it around both times.
Here are the boys after the race was over.  Dewey took 1st place out of the tiger cubs and Sayer took 3rd.  Dewey also took 1st place out of all 25 boys that raced that night.  I don't know who was more proud, Sean or Dewey.  We are now looking forward to districts.
Hank and Sari lost interest after the first few races.

Basketball

As usual, Hallie had a lot of fun playing Basketball with her friends.  She played on the Blackfoot Jazz league and then most of her team went out to the Snake River league.  Hallie is #14.

Hallie keeps getting better each year.  It is a lot of fun to watch!

Pine Basin 2014

Once again, we had another fun trip with our cousins to the Pine Basin Lodge.  My family looks forward to this trip every year and we have a lot of fun with the Martin's.
We do A LOT of sledding while we are there.  I think Dewey was pretty much outside all day.  He came in to eat every once in a while and then he was back outside again.
Hank had fun having Sean and I push him half way down the hill in his sled.

Gus(aka spider man) was determined to snowboard and he did pretty good.
I didn't get any pictures of Hallie outside, but I did get a picture of her playing Mexican Train with the men.
We have a lot of fun sitting on the picnic tables and watching the kids sled from the back windows.
The snow was piled up from the parking lot just below the sledding hill and Sean figured out that it was a lot of fun to jump.  We started jumping it on the big tube in groups and it was HILARIOUS to watch!!

Saturday night, all of the women played the game Qwelf.  It isn't the greatest game, but we had fun laughing at each other about the stupid things we had to do.  Dawnette and Marilee had to put socks on their hands and pretend like they were puppets.
My Mom and Alisha had to wrap themselves up and these bags were the best thing that we could find.
Deena and Cassie had to keep their arms and legs straight until it was their turn again.
Deena also had to hang out under the table.  What I don't have a picture of is me standing like a human X for about 15 minutes.  It was hard!!
